Real Madrid playmaker Dani Ceballos has hinted that he could leave the club to play elsewhere in football. As a result of speculation, he was transferred to the Spurs.

The 22-year-old made 34 appearances in all competitions last season, but only three of them came during Zinedine Zidane's term following the renewal of the French nomination in March.

Zidane was strongly supported in the transfer market this summer. Eder Militao, Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard have all joined Real, but he wants to add a game maker to his ranks.

It is thought that Paul Pogba of Manchester United will be the main target of Zidane, while Christian Eriksen of the Spurs and Donny Van De Beek of Ajax have also been proposed as possible options.

The arrival of another offensive midfielder would push Ceballos farther in the hierarchy and he insisted that his future be decided after the Under-21 European Championship.

"I started well under [Julen] Lopetegui, but once he was fired, I unfortunately became secondary, "he told Onda Cero Radio.

"I'm not going to say what was said about my conversation with Zidane, but what I can say is that it was clear to me and that once the Euro U21 finished, I will decide my future.

"My goal is to play wherever I am and to prove that I can compete in any team in Europe. I hope to succeed because nothing will defeat me. "

Ceballos began his career with Real Betis and his performances in this club have badociated him with a host of big clubs before Real Madrid wins him for a € 18m contract in 2017.

The Spanish international, however, struggled to make his way into Real Madrid's starting lineup and was nominated as a potential substitute for Eriksen at the Spurs.

Eriksen said last week that he wanted to "try something new" after six seasons at the Spurs, amid speculation linking him to a move to Real Madrid.
