Daniel Sturridge unveiled his relationship with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as speculation continued about his future at Anfield.

The striker no longer has a contract with Merseyside at the end of the season and has played only six Premier League games since his spectacular home match against Chelsea in September.

Whatever his future against the Reds, the English international praised his boss before sharing his determination to win the first trophy of his Liverpool career, repeatedly stranded during his five years at Anfield.

"He's cool, he's pbadionate, he's trying to get the best out of everyone," Sturridge told BBC Radio 1Extra. "We have been on the rise since coming to the club and we hope the season will be successful for us."

The Klopp team is currently well positioned for the last 15 games of the season and has a four point advantage over defending champion Manchester City.

Although the situation looks positive, Sturridge's experience in these situations means that he only takes things one game at a time, but he admits that he is hopeful of reaping silverware at the end of the campaign.

"There is a good atmosphere, it's one game at a time, it's the truth at the end of the day, there's a lot of football to play, anything can happen, we just focus on ourselves and continue to put our best foot forward, work hard and we'll see where that will take us to the end.
