Danny Drinkwater is in police custody after being arrested for impaired driving, report Mirror.
Chelsea midfielder crushed his car late Monday night, after the Blues' 2-0 win over West Ham, in which he played no role.
Drinkwater is thought to have left a party in Greater Manchester before its Range Rover hits a Skoda shortly after midnight Tuesday morning.
The victim, aged 29, was treated for her injuries with a pbadenger and the Skoda driver.
This is the last setback of Drinkwater's increasingly stuttering career, having flourished at Leicester City in their 2015/16 Premier League win.
His form with the Foxes earned him to be transferred to Chelsea, but things did not go as planned.
Drinkwater has only managed 23 appearances with the Blues since moving to the summer of 2017.
A summer outing seems inevitable, especially if he is found guilty of driving while intoxicated.
