Darcey Bussell apparently left Strictly Come Dancing after seven years because of the "soap opera scandals" surrounding the series.

In addition to wellness entertainment and amazing dance, backstage novels are part of what keeps people hooked.

But according to new information, this is not the case of Judge Darcey who felt that the BBC broadcast had "become a sort of devious television soap opera".

However, a BBC source said that Darcey's decision was entirely to leave because it was possible for him to have professional commitments elsewhere.

They said, "All we know is maybe something different. Strictly enough is restrictive in terms of what you can do – it takes five months a year. She could have something else aligned and worked abroad.

"There was no problem of position or salary as far as we were concerned."

This comes after comedian Seann Walsh was caught kissing his married partner Strictly 2018, Katya Jones, last year. Walsh was also in a relationship at the time.

It was also claimed that Darcey had asked for a pay raise of £ 40,000 and that she "made it clear that if her demands were not satisfied, she would walk".

Darcey revealed his decision to quit in a statement Wednesday afternoon, saying it was not a disagreement.

The 49-year-old said, "It was a privilege for me to be part of Strictly, to work with such a talented team. I have enjoyed every minute of my time and all members of my fellow judges, presenters, dancers, musicians, the entire performing team, and especially the spectators of the show, will miss me.

"I do not leave because of disagreements or disagreements, I only move away to further highlight my many other commitments in dance, after seven really wonderful years that I can not imagine having improved.

"I know that being part of this unique show will be missed and the fact that he celebrates dancing is something that fascinates me so much. I hope that I will be very lucky to be invited again someday. & # 39;

His replacement has yet to be announced.
