WWE returns to Saudi Arabia this week for the WWE Super Show Down. The promotion described this show as a WrestleMania event, but that remains to be seen. Here's how you can watch it live.
- Date: Friday, June 7th
- Time: 2 pm ET
- TV: No
- Direct: WWE Network Exclusive
The drawing
Some major titles are in play, but the most important match is Goldberg vs. The Undertaker. This will mark the first time that the two iconic artists have clashed. Most fans would probably prefer that the match not happen when the total age is over a century (Undertaker 54 and Goldberg 52), but it could still be quite spectacular if the WWE came out with entries and elaborate apparats.
In the ring, one might think that this should be particularly short given the age of legends, but the Undertaker promo on Raw seemed to imply that both men might try to push back their limits a bit. I am not sure that this is a good or a bad thing for the overall quality of the match and the health of the participants.
In addition to Taker vs. Goldberg, there will also be a defensive title against the title of Seth Rollins Universal against Baron Corbin, which is supposed to include a cashing of Money in the Bank Brock Lesnar.

The trip to Saudi Arabia is a lightning rod of controversy and criticism. The government has to be under fire for many of his customs and laws, including prohibiting women from performing and forbidding certain members of the list to surrender because of their heritage (Sami Zayn), religious tattoos on their bodies (Aleister Black) and insignia on their wrestling clothes ( Rey Mysterio). Because of these practices and restrictions, several WWE list members declined to attend, such as Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Kevin Owens, and others.
What else will be on?
In the United States, because of the start time, there is virtually no competition, especially in the field of combat sports. NBC will have the men's semifinals of the French Open, but other than that, there is no leading sports program that runs alongside Super Show Down. As dirty as Super Show Down may sound, unless there is a very understandable boycott of the event, if you are an unconditional fan of the fight and you are not at work, you will probably see the results.
