Dave Finocchio is leaving Turner's Bleacher Report, the multi-faceted digital sports company he co-founded in 2005 and has managed as CEO for the last three years.

While Finocchio is expected to release in June, Turner Sports has named Howard Mittman as the CEO of Bleacher Report. Finocchio hired Mittman, who held a dual role of revenue manager and chief financial officer, in August 2017. Once Finocchio leaves, he will report to Matt Hong, Turner Sports' chief operating officer, who has been overseeing Bleacher Report for six years.

In a note to staff announcing his planned departure, Finocchio did not indicate what he planned to do next. "I've known for a long time that it's not good for me to do this forever," he wrote. Turner bought B / R in 2012 for around $ 175 million. Finocchio left at the end of 2014 to launch Binge Media, a mobile content discovery platform. Turner then hired Finocchio in January 2016 to return to Bleacher Report as CEO; As part of Finocchio's return to B / R, Turner acquired the badets of Binge Media.
