Beckham will take a 10% stake in the club, which means that the clbad of 92, including Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, now owns 60% of the club, while Peter Lim owns the other 40.
"It's a proud moment for me to join Peter Lim and the 92 Boys category as the owner of Salford City. It's a really special club and a special group of people, "said Beckham.
"My debut in Manchester was all in Salford. I have grown up there in so many ways, so being able to finally join the guys and the club today is a great feeling.
"Salford City has been so successful in a short time, the fans are incredible and I'm really excited to spend more time in Salford."
The 92-year-old said that they had always wanted Beckham to be part of the owners group. Now, the man who will be creating a new MLS team in Miami will also have a piece of Salford to try to get back into the leagues.
"From the beginning, we wanted David to be involved and be with us in this incredible journey, but the circumstances and the commitments did not allow it," read a statement from the clbad of 92.
"Now the time has come and it's another exciting time in the history of Salford City.It's important to note that nothing will change in the club's daily activities, but that our vision has always been to bring us all together. "
