The launch in 2020 of the major league football club, Inter Miami, is getting closer and more and Spanish reports suggest that its owner, David Beckham, is eager to make Luis Suarez of Barcelona the face of the new franchise.
After being formally rewarded for an expansion team in early 2018, Beckham and his group worked tirelessly to prepare their team for their debut in 2020, and many huge names were badociated with a move in the club.
The next name related to the club is Suarez Barcelona which, according to Esport3, has already had the opportunity to join Inter Miami next summer.
Beckham reportedly offered Suarez a four-year contract that was well received by Uruguayan. The contract is thought to be financially attractive for Suarez, who may be tempted to move to MLS next summer after reaching the age of 33.
His current contract with Barcelona expiring in the summer of 2021, the Blaugrana may then want to part with him while he is looking to prepare for the future. The club is looking for a new striker this summer and, if it was possible to find a younger option, getting rid of Suarez would be a lot less painful.
The prodigy of Eintracht Frankfurt, Luka Jovic, was closely linked to the club, although this 21-year-old has completed his long-awaited run to Real Madrid, a formidable rival. However, chasing such a player suggests that the Blaugrana are preparing for life without Suarez.
The Uruguayan international has had another impressive season at Camp Nou, scoring 25 goals and 13 badists in all competitions to help Barcelona win another Liga title. He was sorely missed after suffering a knee injury late in the season. Ernesto Valverde had trouble replacing him.
