Hong Kong group David Boring became the first group in the city to be invited to the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. The punk band, formed in 2013, owes its name to the improbable hero of the clbadic American cult graphic novel of the same name. They also appeared in the last installment of Parts Unknown by the late Anthony Bourdain, addressing slowly to a more global audience.
SXSW, for South by Southwest, holds annual music festivals and conferences in Austin, Texas.
