David De Gea apologized to Manchester United fans after his last scream against Chelsea at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The Spaniard dropped Antonio Rudiger's shot to 30 yards, allowing Marcos Alonso to score a tying goal.

United's draw nearly put an end to their chances of being in the top four and they now have Chelsea and Arsenal to sneak in and give them a chance to qualify for the Champions League.

De Gea's mistake is the third of his last four games and he has made more mistakes this season that have led to goals than in his previous five Premier League campaigns.

The United faithful stuck by De Gea leaving the field at halftime, they applauded the Spaniard as he headed for the tunnel.

And De Gea clearly expressed his feelings to Stretford End by apologizing to the crowd as he walked inward, raising an arm for the crowd.

The Spaniard is entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and the club has made little progress in negotiating a new deal.

De Gea wants parity with the most paid player, Alexis Sanchez, to stay at the Theater of Dreams, but the club does not want two players to earn such high salaries.
