David Letterman interviewed President Donald Trump on several occasions during his 33 years on television late at night. But the former host of CBS's "Late Show" was only one question for Trump, if they ever found themselves face to face.
"I'll tell him, Don, why are you such a putz?", Revealed Letterman in an excerpt from "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" aired Thursday.
The veteran comedian also acknowledged in the segment "Burning Questions" that he was now "disappointed" by the Trump administration.
In an interview with GQ Magazine in 2017, Letterman said that Trump "makes me sick," even though he's already enjoyed it as a guest of his show.
"It was just a big and rich dope coming and we would make fun of her hair. I would talk about him as a slum lord, "Letterman explained. "But now, that moron … I do not know."
