For Black History Month, NPR Music featured an array of Davido artists who delivered superb performances from their homes.
Dubbed the Tiny Desk Home Concert, it also featured Nigerian artist Davido who provided viewers with an entertaining virtual group show.
During his performance, he praised his father for being an inspiration to him.
“A Nigerian American like me who studied in the United States… I went to an HBCU, you know… My dad went to one too and my dad worked at Burger King. Becoming what he is today as a black man starting out in America has been very, very inspiring to me.
Davido performed four songs while taking viewers on a retrospective journey of his career.
He delivered a relaxed take on his 2014 hit ‘Aye’, his 2013 hit ‘Gobe’ as well as some of his recent hits like ‘Risky’ and ‘Jowo’.
