Dayot Upamecano, target of Arsenal, postponed after the final defeat of the Europa League

Arsenal are in the running to engage Leipzig central defender RB Leipzig, Dayot Upamecano, according to reported information.

Unai Emery wants to reinforce his defensive options in the summer transfer window, but his budget has been limited due to the team's inability to secure football in the Champions League for next season.

Emery would have spent about £ 100 million if Arsenal qualified for the Champions League next season, but the 4-1 defeat of Chelsea in Baku on Wednesday night means the Gunners will be in the Europa League.

Upamecano would have a release clause of 100 million euros in its contract with RB Leipzig, which will expire in 2021.
