The events resulting from this reunion have led to this. which seemed inevitable since the revelation of upcoming titles like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Following Disney’s 2019 acquisition of Fox, which brought Marvel Comics’ X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool under Marvel Studios control, Loki’s finale sets the stage for a slew of new and familiar characters to appear in. the MCU. The day before Loki posted his finale, Reynolds shared a promotion free guy video. In it, Deadpool urges Korg to step into the MCU and / or his own Disney + series while also reacting to free guythe trailer of. Like Deadpool, free guy was produced by 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox) but is now owned by Disney. Reynolds’ video marked the first time Deadpool has interacted with MCU characters, and it sure won’t be the last. Unlike other Fox mutants, Deadpool’s irreverent and meta nature cancels out the baggage that comes with reconnected timelines, mismanaged character arcs, and continuity issues.
Deadpool 3 is currently in development at Marvel Studios and is expected to take place within the MCU. the dead Pool the franchise is arguably the best part of Disney’s deal with Fox. The character of Reynolds is not only a completely comfortable jumping universe, but he will tackle (and already has) the absurdity of it all. Equally electric was Jonathan Majors’ performance in the final. It should be a heavy experience to face his variants through Phase 4 / beyond and a wise and regenerative TVA agent, who like Loki doesn’t seem like he could die, would certainly lighten things up.
