Speaking to the Ghanaian News Agency on Monday, Mr Korto said: “I am not surprised that Mr Botwe has been appointed to this post, due to his experience and demonstrated skills in the duties that ‘he held before. Information during the administration of President John Agyekum Kufuor and recently as Minister of Regional Reorganization and Development under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, you have shown the quality of the goal with a lot of skills and results and I know that you will do the same in your new position if it is approved by Parliament. “
Mr Korto further expressed the hope that Mr Botwe would be approved by the Parliament’s Appointments Committee to demonstrate the competence for which he was known.
“The Ghana Presidents Association hopes to have a healthy working relationship in the years to come if it is to be approved soon by the Parliament’s Appointments Committee,” he added.
As for the other candidates, Korto hopes that they will be approved by the Parliament’s Appointments Committee for President Akufo-Addo to start his second term.
Mr. Dan Botwe is one of 27 candidates presented to the Parliamentary Nominations Committee for approval, pending verification and approval or not.
