The United Nations Association for Ghana (GUNA) has urged the government to improve the country's security and put an end to the killings.

In a statement issued Monday and signed by the director of the administration, Msgr. Nathaniel Rudolph, GUNA said that "the lack of security of citizens condemns all other sectors of the economy, including the & condam condam,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,. education, commerce, medicine and even religion ".

This call comes after the investigative reporter, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, was hit three times, twice in the chest and once in the neck last Wednesday in Madina in Accra. He was declared dead on the scene.

The late Hussein-Suale was part of Anas Aremeyaw's Tigre Eye PI team, which produced the documentary # Number12, which exposes corruption in Ghanaian football.

His death, however, was linked to Central Assin's deputy in the Central Region, Kennedy Agyapong, after posting photos of the murdered journalist on his TV channel, NET 2TV, and inciting violence against the US. ;investigator.

However, his death is not the only contract murder recorded in January.

Josephine Asante, Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), was stabbed to death at her home.

Ms. Asante was badaulted in her room shortly after returning from a party Saturday night.

GUNA said, "Ghana has earned an international reputation as one of the most peaceful countries in the world and it is important that all governments ensure the maintenance of peace and security in Ghana."

GUNA also called on international security bodies to open an independent investigation into the killings to better expose the perpetrators.

The United Nations Association for Ghana (GUNA) has noted with deep concern the worsening security situation in the country. It is important to know that security is the fundamental necessity of any progressive society, hence the lack of security for citizens who condemns all other sectors of the economy, including education, commerce, medicine and even religion.

GUNA therefore calls on the government to urgently improve the security architecture in the country, so that the contract killings of which the investigative journalist is Mohammed Hussein-Suale is no longer the last victim.

In addition, GUNA calls on the government to investigate these barbaric acts and to ensure that all those involved in these killings are released in order to deflate the bravado of those villains who endanger the lives and property of law-abiding citizens. Ghana has earned an international reputation as one of the most peaceful countries in the world and it is important that all governments ensure the maintenance of peace and security in Ghana.

GUNA also appeals to all international security agencies, including the United Nations (UN), to take an interest in these issues by opening independent investigations into these murders in order to expose the wicked responsible for these murders.

Lastly, we call on the government to make safety a priority by ensuring that all streetlights are restored to illuminate and improve the safety of our communities. In addition, priority should be given to the installation of CCTV cameras on all major highways in Ghana to facilitate the arrest of criminals and lawless cowards who should calm down behind iron bars.

Thank you
