CBBC star Mya-Lecia Naylor, who played alongside Emily Atack in Almost Never, died at the age of 16.
The BBC has released this heartbreaking news on its website today by paying tribute to the "beloved" actress.
The teenager's death is not clear, but her leadership has confirmed that she was dead on Sunday.
The BBC said: "We are very sorry to have to tell you that Mya-Lecia, which you will know through" Millie Inbetween "and" almost never ", has pbaded away, unfortunately.
"Mya-Lecia was a valued member of the BBC Children family and an actress, singer and dancer of immense talent.
"She will be sorely missed and we are sure you will want to join us in sending all our love to her family and friends.
"We know this news is very upsetting and it may be helpful to share your feelings with friends or with a trusted adult.
"If you have difficulties and can not talk to anyone, you can call Childline on 0800 11 11."
TRIBUTES FOR MYA-LECIA
Mya-Lecia played alongside Emily Atack, Fleur East and Tess Daley in the show almost ever from CBBC.
The show follows the band The Wonderland and the rival girls group, Girls Here First, who participate in the fictional television talent show The Spotlight – hosted by Tess.
In this children's show, Emily plays one of the boy's moms, while Fleur plays the comrade role.
Emily paid tribute to Mya-Lecia on her Instagram page today.
She wrote: "So shocked and sad to hear about the beautiful Mya-Lecia Naylor.
"She was a beautiful and talented girl, a total joy to be on the set of almost never.
"Send all my love to family and friends, rest in peace, beautiful girl."

Mya-Lecia was also known for her role as Fran in Millie Inbetween of the CBBC.
She was born in 2002 and then began a career as a model, actress and singer.
Her first TV appearance was in Absolutely Fabulous in 2004 and she had roles in Cloud Atlas and Code Red.
