The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and Public Health of Georgia reported that 22 cases of deaths from the so-called swine flu had been recorded in the country.
The agency said the rate of spread of the flu is 186 per 100,000 population and that the spread of the disease is shrinking.
NCDC Director Amiran Gamkrelidze also confirmed that the number of respiratory diagnostics in hospitals has decreased.
He called on the company to exercise caution and respect basic hygiene standards.
Gamkrelidze added that the flu peaked in Europe in February.
The Georgian government said it would cover all expenses related to the cost of antiviral drug Tamiflu and distribute it to all citizens with free flu.
H1N1 flu is called swine flu because in the past people who contracted it had direct contact with pigs.
Nowadays, people who suffer from it can transmit it one day before the appearance of symptoms and up to 7 days after their illness. Children can be contagious up to 10 days.
The Georgia Ministry of Health has urged people to visit medical centers as soon as they have symptoms of the flu.
