The founder of beauty brand Deciem is dead.

According to several reports, Brandon Truaxe died this weekend.

Vox reportedly received an email from Nicola Kilner, Acting CEO of Deciem, who allegedly confirmed the news in an email to Deciem's ​​staff.

The Canadian beauty brand was unexpectedly closed in October, as a result of Truaxe's bizarre social media behavior.

On October 9, in a deleted Instagram video released by Truaxe, the founder announced the immediate closure of the company due to a "major criminal activity."

In the days following the position, Truaxe was provisionally ousted from his position as Executive Director and a member of the company's board of directors after a judge approved a request from an Ontario court to Estée Lauder Companies Inc., according to CBC. At the time, he was also prohibited from "publishing statements or disseminating media" on Deciem's ​​social media accounts, and from addressing his employees or making changes to his staff and his activity in Deciem.

His last message on Instagram, just two days ago, shows Truaxe sharing his home address and complaining about facilities in Toronto's Distillery District.

Truaxe started Deciem in 2013 and then launched new no-frills brands such as The Ordinary, NIOD and Hylamide.

Truaxe was 40 years old.
