– Legit.ng reported previously that a Deeper Life church in Bayelsa had suspended the wedding of a couple because they had eaten on the same plate before their wedding.

– The report has sparked a number of criticisms from social media users and the church issued a statement following the case.

– According to the church, it means holiness and couples were in a hurry to enjoy the benefits of married couples

A future Nigerian couple, Bolingo Israel and Okpokpolom Jemima, members of Deeper Life Church, celebrated his wedding which was to end on June 8, 2019, suspended by his pastor.

It has already been reported that the wedding was suspended because the couple had eaten in the same plate a week before knotting.

Well, the church Deeper Life reacted to this information. In a statement sent by YEN.com.gh the church explained that contrary to the reports, the couple had actually engaged in moral acts after sleeping in the same bed and that this amounted to a sin.

The church then explained that after feeling guilty and reported to their respective pastors, the couple had been sentenced to disciplinary action by the state supervisor.

Read the statement below:

"The church has a marriage committee that oversees marriage from the knowledge of God's will to obtaining parental consent, marriage registration for church marriage.

When future couples were asked to go to the Brbad region of Bayelsa to obtain their parents' consent, they spent several days together before returning to Yenagoa. They slept on the same bed and engaged in moral acts that were related to sin and against the Church's marriage process. They felt that what they had done was bad and they reported to their pastors.

They were then put under discipline by the state supervisor. After a while, stating that they repented, the court was allowed to start again.

As preparations for marriage continued, it was discovered that they had again committed acts contrary to the procedure established by the church marriages committee. It's after they've been disciplined earlier and warned not to indulge in acts that will have a negative impact on their proposed marriage.

When the marriage committee asked them a direct question based on the latest developments, the man accepted their mistake. It is important to note here that the church stands on holiness and that its members have always been urged to "refrain from all appearances of evil. It is also not true that the parents implored the pastor to marry them on June 8, 2019.

In summary, they behaved inconsiderately and were eager to reap the benefits that the church and God allow only married couples to enjoy. "

Recently, YEN.com.gh reports that Pastor Kumuyi, chief overseer of Deeper Life, warned Christians not to attack President Buhari.

According to the Nigerian news agency Kumuyi, during his sermon at the Bible Church Deeper Life, the headquarters in Gbagada, Lagos, urged Christians not to attack the president of the country by any means whatever.
