Commission investigation oath1 The three-member commission is headed by Judge Emile Short

Kasapafmonline.com can confidently badert that Delali Kwesi Brempong, parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic National Congress in the by-election of Ayawaso West Wuogon, will appear Wednesday before the Justice Emile Short Investigating Committee investigating the violence that characterized this election.

This follows an invitation he received from the Commission over the weekend, asking him to appear and testify.

Mr. Brempong, a pharmacist by profession, had previously stated in an exclusive interview with Akwasi Nsiah at Kasapa News that he wished to appear before the Commission.

Violence erupted in the Bawaleshie Park area during the election, leaving six shot dead. Six others were also arrested and several others brutalized by masked gunmen, who belong to National Security.

But Mr. Brempong has disputed the claims of National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah that shots fired on LA Bawaleshie that day would come from his home.

He added that the statements of the Minister of National Security were false and that this was an afterthought.

"There were no shots from my home and there can not be gunshots from a pharmacist's home. Someone who has taken an oath to protect lives, I clearly think that's an afterthought. If someone says that there have been shots from home, then I think the person is dreaming or hallucinating.

The three-member commission of inquiry, set up by President Akufo-Addo, has one month to complete its public hearings.
