Real Madrid has replaced Manchester United as the richest club in the world, according to the latest edition of the Deloitte Football Money League.
The winners of the Champions League generated a record income of £ 665m last season, beating the index for the 12th time in 22 years, ahead of rival La Liga Barcelona (£ 612m).
Manchester United slipped to third place after generating £ 590 million, a comparatively small increase of 2% over the previous year.
