The figures, reported Saturday by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) of the Ministry of Health, showed that a total of 77,368 dengue patients have returned home after being treated by various hospitals in the country from January 1st to September 15th. year. According to the DGHS, after examining 101 deaths, the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) of the government has confirmed to date 60 deaths from dengue fever.

The Bangladeshi government has asked government agencies to better coordinate their efforts to stem the spread of disease spread by several species of mosquitoes belonging to the genus Aedes.

A total of 52,636 dengue cases were reported in Bangladesh in August this year, the highest number in one month since 2000.

Bangladesh reported 10,148 cases of dengue fever and 26 deaths last year.
