According to UNB, two people died from dengue fever and 1649 new patients were admitted to various hospitals in the country in 24 hours until Saturday morning.
The situation remains alarming, even if the number of infected patients was 38% lower than Friday, out of 1,687.

In Satkhira, 43 persons were marked with dengue fever, 16 of whom were still on treatment, 25 returned home after treatment, and two were transferred to another hospital.
Most of them were infected in the capital and returned home later, said the civilian surgeon.

In Sirajganj, 11 people have been infected with dengue fever in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people infected to 56, said surgeon Shahidul Islam. In Tangail, a total of 90 people were infected with the virus and 30 of them were admitted to different hospitals in the last 24 hours.
In Brahmanbaria, the office of the civilian surgeon has announced that the total number of dengue patients in the district would be 50 to Saturday. In Bhola, 26 people from the capital were affected by dengue fever. The first case of dengue infection was recorded at Kurigram on Saturday with an infected housewife at Phulbari upazila.
