Former Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng
Former Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng urged the authorities to repair football in the country following the disappointing performance of the Black Stars at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt .
Football activities in the country were left in the dark after the first broadcast of the video 'Number 12' from Anas Aremeyaw Anas in June 2018, which revealed the football rot in the country.
As part of the restructuring of football activities in the country, the standardization commission set up by FIFA has not done its best to restructure football in the country.
Ghana suffered a painful exit from the current Nations Cup Monday night in Ismailia.
Tunisia ended the four-time domination of the African champions by beating them 5 to 4 on penalties to move to the next phase of the competition.
However, the former Fulham midfielder, speaking on MAX TV, called on football officials in the country to repair the damage.
"I am very sad," he said angrily. "It should not happen to Ghanaian football because we have already done it," Boateng told MAX TV.
"I'm not at the FA but the people who run the football have to fix our football for us because it's very sad that it's happening in a country like Ghana."
