Former president of the Union of Musicians of Ghana (MUSIGA) and a board member of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Ms. Diana Hopeson raised her resume by earning a master's degree.
The musician and intellectual property expert is a graduate of the University of Education Winneba (Ghana), where she earned a Masters degree in Philosophy, which makes her a consulting psychologist.
As part of her thesis, Ms. Hopeson conducted a research and presented a paper on "Exploring Counseling Needs for Performing Artists in Accra" – and she obtained her results that led to the success of her course .
As a leading figure in the field of copyright and intellectual property, she also created an publishing company, GHMusic Publishing Company Ltd, with the aim of creating and enforcing the subject of music publishing and other related activities in the entertainment industry in Ghana. .
In 2007, President John Agyekum Kufuor, President of the Republic of Ghana, awarded him a National Achievement Award for his immense support of the arts sector.
She also served as President of MUSIGA for four (4) years and as Chair of the Interim Management Board of the Ghana Copyright Society (COSGA), where she was actively involved in the development of policies and several projects the music industry in Ghana.
Diana released her first gospel album, "He is Lord" in 1991 and has subsequently published more than 10 albums during a very illustrious musical career.
