But it seems that Ross wants to stay faithful to his former friend.
The icon was credited with the discovery of the Jackson 5 before she and Michael worked together on several projects.
Prior to his death, Ross was named Jackson's next caretaker after his mother's will.
The 74-year-old told her fans, "That's what's important to me this morning," before giving her point of view to her friend.
The artist did not communicate with the fans in the message, which provoked a mixed reaction of support and condemnation.
Ross's defense against Jackson comes after Barbara Streisand's angry reaction was that "Jackson's badual needs were his badual needs" in a bizarre interview with the British newspaper The Times.
She claimed that the documentary "Leaving Neverland", Wade Robson and James Safechuck, "were delighted to be there" as children and that what happened to them did not "kill" them
Streisand, 76, then posted a new comment back on those views.
