With almost daily reports of feuds within the royal family, many wondered whether there was factual information or whether it was completely exaggerated.

Supposedly, there have been conflicts between royal duchesses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle for months, however, the palace has denied. Nonetheless, the claims that the sisters-in-law do not keep going have led us to wonder about the two women who held the same post several years ago and the real extent of what we have heard about their breakup. This is what Sarah Ferguson revealed about her relationship with Princess Diana and whether or not they spoke at the time of the princess's death.

Reports that the princess and the duchess were quarreling

The Princess of Wales and the Duchess of York were a fourth cousin and had known each other since their childhood. Five years later, the women married in the royal family and seemed to be extremely close. However, several reports began to appear that behind the walls of the palace, things did not seem and they quarreled.

On the basis of reports, it only appeared that they had some tiffs here and there, but that they were never rival at any time.

In 1996, the two ladies had divorced princes and Ferguson published his book titled My story. In this, the duchess wrote that Diana had given him several pairs of shoes and "plantar warts". This led to the belief that the princess was so upset by what Fergie shared that it was perhaps the reason she stopped talking to her.

Although the women did not talk long after the publication of the book, the Duchess of York told Harper's Bazaar that she had learned that the princess had planned to contact her before her death.

"I really miss Diana. I loved him so much, says Ferguson. "And the saddest, at In the end, we have not talked for a year, although I do not know the reason, except that, once Diana has something in mind … I tried, wrote letters, thinking that everything had pbaded little matter, solve the problem. And I knew she would come back. In fact, the day before she died, she called one of my friends and asked, "Where is this red? I want to talk to him. "

These rumors of rivalry were exaggerated?

Recently, Fergie claimed that everything going on between her and Diana was totally distorted by the media. The Duchess wrote about it in an open letter last February as part of Hello Magazine's #HelloToKindness campaign.

"Women, in particular, are constantly confronted and compared to each other, which reminds me of the way people have always tried to portray Diana and me as rivals, which neither one nor the other. Other of us never really felt, "she said.
