The challenging conditions of the Castle Road Special School, located inside the Accra Psychiatric Hospital, are forcing authorities to drive back new students with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
The school, created 34 years ago, works with the benevolence of teachers and other people, but the facility is facing major challenges in terms of infrastructure and of finance.
Under these challenges, student rehabilitative actions are not progressing.
Komla Adom, of Joy News, reports that the goal of promoting education for inclusion in Ghana could be compromised by the situation in this institution.
The hospital authorities described the situation at this hospital as serious.
