Digger driver arrives at new Travelodge hotel with bizarre outburst

This is the shocking moment when a dike driver crashed into a newly built Travelodge hotel in a furious outburst of alleged unpaid salary of £ 600.

One can see a number of workers cheering the driver while filming the incident on their phone, others appearing to try to stop him.

A person can be heard screaming at the film saying, "That's what happens when people do not pay your salary, man.

"You just do not do my job. It's a sick man, buddy. Throughout the building.

A source told the sun: "Nobody could believe their eyes. The man just went crazy.

"Everyone said that he had a problem with his salary and he said he owed him £ 600."

On the Travelodge website, the hotel is listed as "opening soon", but significant damage could delay their plans.

The police were called to the scene but the driver of the shovel had already left the vehicle and had fled the sector towards Edge Lane.

The photos taken at Travelodge show the significant damage done to the building, including shards of glbad and debris, with the excavator still outside the hotel.

The workers had erected metal fences at the scene, around the destroyed front, while police were investigating the hotel.

Thousands of people have now viewed the images on social media, claiming that he was right to take drastic action if he was not paid.

While another added: "We can not pay people, it often happens in construction. The man probably had bills to pay to support children. If you do the work, you should be paid on the agreed day.

A spokesman for the Merseyside Police also confirmed that a man had been treated by paramedics at the hotel.

In a statement, law enforcement said: "We are asking for information after damage has been caused to a hotel under construction in Liverpool today.

"A report was received shortly before 3 pm, indicating that the backhoe was being driven into the entrance of the Travelodge building in the Liverpool Innovation Park.

"The driver then left the vehicle and headed for Edge Lane.

"One man had eye irritation from diesel exposure and was treated on the scene by the North West Ambulance Service.

"We do not think anyone else was hurt during the incident.
