Ashok Leyland said on Tuesday that the company’s digital initiatives have helped consumers save “ significantly ”. The company added other digital solutions such as iALERT 3.0 – an advanced connected vehicle platform, uptime solutions center and AL Care – a single application for customers to manage customer vehicle needs.

These transformation initiatives have increased the proliferation of connected digital solutions toward lowering the total cost of ownership (TCO), the company said.

“As a leading player in the commercial vehicle industry, our goal has always been to provide the lowest Total Cost of Operation (TCO) and therefore the highest profit for our customers. Our Digital Nxt solutions including iALERT 3.0, Uptime Solution Center and AL Care, help us deliver on this promise, ”Ashok Leyland Managing Director and CEO Vipin Sondhi said in a statement.

The company’s customers using these digital platforms have achieved significant cost savings and, on average, the utility vehicle manufacturer has achieved 15% overall savings, which includes 5-10% fuel savings. and 15% improvement in the use of the fleet, he added.

At present, more than 60,000 customers with more than 1.5 lakh of vehicles have embarked on the iALERT connected vehicle platform. In addition, many cases of critical vehicle failures have been avoided to date, through proactive intervention through the Availability Solutions platform.

“These solutions have helped our customers reap rich dividends by leveraging more of our products. For example, iALERT has transformed the way our customers do business – it allows them to optimize their order book based on vehicle uptime and uptime. first OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to provide our connected vehicle solution, iALERT, as a standard offering with every M & HCV vehicle sold since 2017, ”said Venkatesh Natarajan, Chief Digital Officer of Ashok Leyland.

The company’s connected digital platforms monitor more than 40 million vehicle km and 1 million engine hours every day, he added.
