Tottenham Hotspur will have a say on the victory of the Premier League title this season, whether he wins or not, according to Dimitar Berbatov.
The dramatic victories over Watford and Newcastle United last week allowed the Spurs to catch up on Liverpool after the Reds lost four points in two consecutive draws with Leicester City and West Ham United.
Manchester City's win over Everton on Wednesday night allowed Jurgen Klopp's team to overtake and both teams are now tied for points.
The Spurs, who will face Leicester City this weekend, are considered outsiders for the title. They are five points behind their nearest opponents and have a game to play against the Citizens.
The debate over whether the Lilywhites are in the title race has certainly divided the opinions among the experts this week. Berbatov is of the opinion that his former club is a black horse and that he could very well decide who will be crowned champion of England for the 2018/2019 campaign.
"A few late goals allowed Tottenham to win a series of victories and, yes, they are still in the title race – a black horse, of course, but still in the race," he told Betfair. "That would please a lot of people – maybe not anybody in Chelsea, Arsenal or West Ham, of course – if the Spurs could in one way or another beat the title in Liverpool and City.
"It would be the shock of the year – the same as Leicester a few years ago!
"What's good for me is that they're getting better and better, they manage the games and even win if they do not play well."

"And whether or not they outperform the two players, they will certainly play a major role in the final destination of the Premier League trophy, as they still have to travel to Anfield and Etihad."
