Chelsea could face an ongoing struggle to retain Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer, as Bayern Munich director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has hinted that the Bundesliga giants will revive their interest.
In January, Bayern saw its offer rejected by many candidates for the star of England, while the young man of 18 had submitted a transfer request. Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has publicly criticized the club's approach.
However, the European giants have turned the teenager's head and it is common knowledge that his departure for Bavaria is fiery – and this chance could be offered to him when reopening the window in summer.
Rummenigge confirmed that Bayern's sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic, was convinced of Hudson-Odoi's talents and did not want to miss the mark of one of England's top prospects.
"I guess Hasan (Salihamidzic) is a bit like Uli (Hoeness)," he told Goal and Spox.
"We also had transfers in the past that did not work the first time but the second, and we are going to work on that now.
"Putting a marker costs money, we want the best players here in Bayern and Hasan is absolutely convinced of this player."
Hudson-Odoi have made three appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea this season and found the net in the FA Cup victory against Sheffield on Wednesday, although he was then left out of the team that lost 4-0. against Bournemouth midweek.
