It is feared the death of Emiliano Sala, a new member of the city of Cardiff, after the disappearance of a plane on which he was traveling, en route to South Wales.
Sala was one of two people on board the flight to Cardiff, which disappeared around 8:30 pm on Monday, January 21st.
Extensive research has so far shown no trace of the plane, and the Guernsey police have admitted that the chances of survival were now "slim".
The tragic news comes just days after Sala became Cardiff's record when signing a £ 15m contract with Nantes.
