The cast of the live-action Disney remake (* Cough * CGI * Cough *) The Lion Kingand many others came to celebrate the world premiere of the film. This of course includes Beyoncé, as well as some other surprise guests. Here is a preview of the starry event.
The cast of The Lion King
Let's start with Simba himself. Donald Glover hit the red carpet in a white and red plaid suit, with matching red shoes. The actor, who is also a rapper under the name of Childish Gambino, wore a long and neat beard.
Seth Rogen, actor and comic writer, gave the voice to Pumba, Simba's warthog friend. Rogen was wearing a black suit with a colorful patterned shirt underneath.
Comedian Billy Eichner voiced Timon, Pumba's best friend, who happens to be also a meerkat. Eichner was wearing a red suit over a white-collar shirt with black and red spots. He completed the look with brown shoes and a pink tie.
The bad guys of The Lion King
The actor Keegan-Michael Key is perhaps best known for his humorous work, but he kept things more serious during the premiere. Key, who expressed the hyena, Kamari wore a basic black suit and shoes with a white shirt. The most exciting was his tie with a blue floral pattern.
The actress Florence Kasumba may not be a familiar person, but you have already played in small roles in such great films as Black Panther and Wonder Woman. She expressed another of the hyenas, Shenzi. Kasumba wore a beautiful black and gold glitter dress with long earrings.
The third hyena, Azizi, is performed by comedian Eric Andre. André attended the first, eccentric habit, donning a bright pink suit with golden accents on a neon green shirt.
Here we have two actors of the voice of the film. Chiwitel Ejiofor provided the voice of the evil lion Scar. He attended the premiere in a simple black suit over a white-collar shirt. Beside him is John Kani, who has expressed the monkey to Rafiki. Kani added an orange jacket to a black shirt and pants as well as a matching bow tie.
Even more of the distribution
The young JD McCrary voiced Simba in his early years in the film. He did everything for the first, dressed in a pair of matching trousers and a vest with intricate patterns and precious stones.
Finally, we have director Jon Favreau and actress Alfre Woodard, who expressed Simba's mother, Sarabi. Favreau stuck to his usual simple outfit: a blue suit with a black tie. Woodard was gorgeous in a black and silver dress with golden accents of different patterns.
Other Disney ladies
Disney wants to keep everything in the family. The sister duo R & B Chloe x Halle is a star of the Freeform series Grown-ish, but at least one of them has a new connection to the mouse – Halle (right), will play Ariel in the next The little Mermaid remake.
The two sisters wore black. Chloé, the eldest of the two women, chose a unique outfit to wear the clbadic menswear: she wore an oversized backless jacket and fitted pants. Halle opted for a velvet mini dress with long sleeves and matching boots.
The Raven-Symoné actress has been a darling of Disney for many years, starting with her hit series for teens It's so Raven! at the time. She has now returned to the role of years later in the Disney Channel spin-off Raven's house.
The actress took the red carpet to The Lion King first in a set entirely black consisting of a long jacket, loose pants and big boots with heels. The lack of color underneath attracts your eyes where they belong – up to its rainbow-colored braids, knotted in a bun, and its bright feathered earrings.
Women formerly known as Destiny's Child
Yes, Bey is a solo act now, but we'll never forget Destiny's Child. And, apparently, they will not do it either. Kelly Rowland was at the premiere in a zebra dress adapted to the theme. She also brought her four-year-old son, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, to see the children's movie.
Of course, the meeting would not be complete without Michelle Williams. The singer wore a beautiful, very reflective dress made of glitter resembling miniature stones. She had the royal air, it is the least that can be said. Which just leaves us with …
The queen herself was there in all her glory. And of course, she brought her biggest little fan: her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. The mother-daughter duo matched their silver and black outfits – Bey is a dress similar to a suit jacket with a transparent black skirt, and Blue's, a jacket and pants with the same skirt. Every detail was perfect, of course. What would you expect from Queen Beyoncé and her princess?
