Cameron Boyce, the actor known for playing in the Disney Channel series "Jessie" and the "Descendants" TV movies, has pbaded away. He was 20 years old.
Boyce died as a result of a "chronic illness," a spokesman for his family told ABC News Saturday night.
"He died in his sleep as a result of a seizure resulting from a medical condition for which he was being treated," said the spokesman. "The world is now without any doubt without one of its brightest lights, but its spirit will live through the kindness and compbadion of all who knew and loved it."
Adam Sandler, who worked with Boyce on "Grown Ups" and "Grown Ups 2", paid tribute to social media.
"Too young, Too sweet, Too funny, Just the kindest, most talented, and most decent of children." Sandler wrote on Twitter. "I loved this kid. So loved his family. Thirst for the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you have given us. Much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking about your extraordinary family and sending our deepest condolences. "
Disney Channel Public Relations presented his condolences on Twitter, writing "Rest in peace, you will always be in our hearts".
Boyce was born on May 28, 1999 in Los Angeles. He made his acting debut at the age of 9 in the horror film "Mirrors" with Kiefer Sutherland.
After entering television, Boyce participated in several Disney Channel shows. He starred Luke Ross alongside Debby Ryan in the show "Jessie", aired on the network for four seasons. He also appeared in "Good Luck Charlie", "Shake It Up" and "The Player's Guide: just about everything". He then played Carlos de Vil, Vil's Cruella son of "101 Dalmatians" in "Descendants" series of films.
In the film, he portrays the son of Sandler's character in both "Grown Ups" movies. His other films on the big screen include "Eagle Eye", "Game On" and "Judy Moody and Summer Not Bummer".
