Hot on the heels of the trailer for The Lion King remake raking millions of views during the Thanksgiving weekend, Disney is considering a big step forward to make another impending remake that goes well.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story writer Chris Weitz is expected to produce the film, which previously had a script written by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the cursed child). However, the provenance of the recent project is unclear. It is possible that Simon Farnaby is interested in the script after working on the scripts for both Paddington movies with Paul King.
Tom Hanks is an interesting choice for playing Geppetto, mainly because in the clbadic story of Pinocchio, the character is an old Italian man. But we are talking about Disney, so they could take some liberties with the story. But maybe Tom Hanks will put an Italian accent on this movie.
