The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) will organize a seminar for Division One League teams in the northern sector.

The seminar, which is an initiative to equip clubs with the necessary knowledge of various stakeholders, is part of ‘Betway Up’, a community support program run by Betway Ghana.

The event was organized in sessions with resource people who lectured on some hot topics on how clubs can improve their operations to maximize positive results both on and off the field.

The program took place at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi and attracted participants from Division 1 clubs across the northern sector of the Ghanaian football map.

The session was opened by GHALCA President Kudjoe Fianoo, who addressed the essence of the meeting. The seasoned football administrator urged attendees to take the lectures seriously and also apply the shared knowledge to benefit.

Afterwards, Ghanaian football legend Stephen Appiah, who is also Betway’s ambassador, engaged the participants; encouraging them to keep pushing their limits to excel in their respective clubs.

Didi Dramani, a former national team coach, introduced participants to the different aspects of screening and the respective indicators and predictors to consider before embarking on such an exercise.

Sports journalist and digital media expert Michael Oti Adjei also guided participants through sessions on the digital media era and how clubs can harness the many advantages that the pitch offers to the world of football.

The event culminated with Dr. Chidi Aniemena-George, a revered sports scientist and exercise medicine specialist. He has lectured on various aspects of sports psychology and physiology. Sessions were also made for participants on what is allowed and what is not allowed in regards to what to eat before, during and after matches.

Thanks to Betway’s collaboration with GHALCA, they have already organized skills sharing seminars for Premier League and Women’s League clubs in Ghana. In the coming weeks, Betway Up and GHALCA will re-hire other Division 1 clubs in the southern sector through similar skill-sharing seminars.
