Digital consultant for MTN, Dario Bianchi urged young entrepreneurs to refrain from publishing their products and services on social media and to adopt the principle of communicating with customers to become advocates for their products and services.

He said, "For customers to become advocates, you need to be involved in social media, you need to build a relationship with the customer by publishing new articles, addressing their concerns, and criticizing the performance of your product." .

According to him, "nearly half of global startups fail because they do not match the product market."

He added that while digital marketing is an inexpensive way to promote online business, it is important to communicate with customers for effective management of online activities.

Mr. Bianchi said that if young entrepreneurs publish their products online, they risk losing both their existing customers and their new customers within this free marketing space.

He said entrepreneurs needed to spend more time on social media researching the needs and wants of customers and customizing messages to solve their problems.

MTN's digital consultant made these statements at this year's Y'ello Care Digital Summit, an annual employee volunteer program held every June.

Referring to the statistics, he said that in Ghana, about 10 million customers surf the Internet, WhatsApp and Facebook being the most used social media, so it is essential that entrepreneurs rebroadcast their messages through such applications.

He added that it was necessary for young CEOs to first write articles about their products so that customers would be aware of what their page and products were about, and what to do with them. they receive feedback before putting the products online.

Mr. Bianchi advised all young CEOs to respect their budget and to know their target audience.
