The country's security agencies and emergency services will hold a counter-terrorism training exercise on Friday in the city of Accra-Tema.
"The exercise will involve the movement of troops and equipment in parts of Accra," said Wednesday a statement issued by the Ministry of National Security.
The exercise called EX HOME SHIELD aims to put into practice and exploit the various roles and skills of all actors of the National Counter Terrorism Effort (NCTE).
It is also testing the preparation of stakeholders in case of terrorist attack.
Moreover, it is necessary to heighten the vigilance of all NCTE actors in the face of growing threats of terrorism in the ECOWAS sub-region.
Among the participants in Friday's exercise are the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), the Ghana Police, the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the Office of the Attorney General. national surveys (BNI).
The others are the National Security Council, the National Disaster Management Organization (Nadmo), the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Financial Intelligence Center.
