According to a statement released by the police command, investigations show that the 2 girls had spent the weekend with their boyfriends since Friday, February 5.

“On February 8, 2021, Suame Police Division Command, acting on intelligence, found the girl in the company of another girl (name withheld) also from St. Louis JHS Form-3.

“The investigation revealed that the girls on Friday February 5, 2021 left home to go to school and have not returned home since, apparently they went to visit their boyfriends, Clement Coleman and Nana Kwame in Tafo-Ahenbronum and that they had stayed at that address. with their friends since Friday, February 5, 2021. “

Earlier today, it was reported that police in the Ashanti region had launched a search for people believed to be behind the alleged kidnapping of the two girls.

The move follows a complaint from one of the victim’s parents who informed police that their daughter had not been home after school since Friday.

According to reports, the girls after the school closed would have chosen a taxi to return home. On their way, the taxi driver reportedly turned away from the main route, taking the students to a dark area around Suame Magazine.

One of the victims reportedly called her brother with a phone that was mistakenly left by one of the suspects, stating that they were being raped by the men holding them captive.

However, according to the police, all of these claims were false because “investigations later revealed that the said missing person cited the brother to inform him that she was at the Embassy hotel, Suame Kotoko, but claimed that he was ‘it was a kidnapping’.
