Dockers rookies Rory Lobb and Reece Conca celebrate a goal against the Saints

FREMANTLE set up an intriguing Western derby with his second win of the season, bouncing back to retain a St Kilda charge by five points at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

But the Dockers may have to face the incumbent prime ministers without Captain Nat Fyfe after the superstar midfielder stumbled to the ground after a head blow and did not return.

The Dockers were made to win Sunday's victory. The Saints lost their excitement all day before losing 11.5 (71) to 9.12 (66) in their first loss of the season.

The visitors followed just six points in the last change in a scant battle, but small striker Brandon Matera emerged to score two goals in a row early in the fourth to give Fremantle a break.

The red goals of Jade Gresham, then Jack Billings, with eight seconds to go, allowed a decisive central rebound, but the Dockers held up after the referees spotted an extra man on the front line of St Kilda and forced a reset in the 6-6. 6 training.
