Doggie Daycare Attacking K9 Obesity

A dog nursery in Kansas City is facing an epidemic across the country: K9 obesity, reported KCTV.

The majority of Musts Mutts K9 Fitness and Rehabilitation clients are overweight dogs.

When the owners opened the center for the first time, they began to realize that obesity was a huge problem, which led them to turn the daycare into a fitness center.

"We are increasing the longevity of their lives, their health, their happiness," said Brianne Durham, the center's owner. "Everywhere we make sure our pets are as healthy as we are, I mean, we've learned so much over the last two or three decades about our own nutrition and health."

The center includes a diving pool, obstacle courses and even a treadmill for dogs.
