U.S.-based Ghanaian lawyer and accounting professor Stephen Kwaku Asare has revealed what he believes to be gaps in the evidence supporting allegations of the alleged retirement of the beleaguered Auditor General.

According to a forensic audit conducted by attorney alias Kwaku Azar, the petitioners have failed to cover up all traces of their concocted evidence against Daniel Domelevo, insisting that a document showing the SSNIT number of this the latter was illegally obtained and posted on Facebook.

“All SSNIT issues tell a story. The SSNIT number here is E106106010014. For ordinary eyes, it doesn’t mean anything. But in the eyes of GOGO, this means E = Eastern Region 10 = District 10 61 = 1961 06 = June 01 = 1 The card holder was born on June 1, 1961. In a hurry to destroy, the one who modified date of birth failed to change SS #.

Usually, I will ask for a full investigation to identify those behind this plot. But this is Ghana. I will not waste my time !!

I’m just asking people of goodwill to decline the invitation to jump on the train to destroy people for a few miserable cedis, ”Professor Kwaku Asare wrote on Facebook. SSNIT records produced by Audit Service published below

President Nana Akufo Addo has called on embattled Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo to stop posing as such.

According to a letter signed by the secretary to the president, Nana Asante Bediatuo, the president’s attention was drawn to the registers and documents made available by the audit service, which show Mr. Domelevo’s date of birth as June 1. 1960 and in accordance with Article 199 (1) of the Constitution, his retirement date as Auditor General was June 1, 2020.

“Based on this information, the president believes that you have officially left your post. Mr. Johnson Akuamoa-Asiedu will continue to act as auditor general until the president appoints a substantial auditor general, ”the letter said.

The Audit Service Board disputes the nationality and date of birth of Domelevo

A few days ago, the Audit Service Commission wrote to President Akufo-Addo to challenge the nationality of besieged Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo.

The council also wrote to Mr Domelevo expressing concerns about his date of birth, saying he had reached retirement age.

In recent correspondence, the council said: “The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) files completed and signed by you show your date of birth as June 1, 1960 when you joined the scheme on June 1, 1960. October 1978. Records show that you declared your tribe to be Togolese and not Ghanaian. That your hometown is Agbatofe.

“On October 25, 1992, you completed and signed an SSNIT Beneficiary Name Change form, indicating your nationality as a Ghanaian and your hometown as an Ada in the Greater Accra region. The date of birth on your Ghanaian passport number A45800, issued on February 28, 1996 is June 1, 1961. This place of birth is indicated as Kumasi, Ashanti region ”.

Critics, including anti-corruption activists, say the sweeping move smacks of ousting Domelevo from office.

Johnson Akuamoa-Asiedu will continue to act in Mr. Domelevo’s place until a substantive appointment is made.
