The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Secretary Sam Pyne hit the organizers and participants of the “#FixTheCountry” protest which took place on Wednesday August 4, 2021 in the nation’s capital.

Dozens of Ghanaians have taken to the streets of Accra to express their dissatisfaction with the performance and governance of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Protesters were holding signs with words such as; “Ghana is the most religious but the most corrupt”, “If Ghana were your personal property, would you run it like this? “,” No to nepotism, to the government of family and friends “,” Fix dumsor “among others.

Addressing the protest, Sam Pyne challenged “FixTheCountry” activists who took to the streets for patriotic reasons.

Speaking to host Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM’s’ Kokrokoo ‘, Sam Pyne asked,’ How many of them are even patriots to the cause of Ghana? How many of them are willingly paying their tax and not trying to dodge it? How many of them don’t make illegal electrical connections? ”

Sending advice to activists, he warned; “We shouldn’t use hate, envy and populism to solve problems. . . They have the right, but they must be sincere. They should be honest. They shouldn’t be hypocrites! ”
