Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that he would be without defenders Benjamin Mendy and Vincent Kompany for Chelsea's visit on Sunday.
The duo has come out in recent weeks for City. Mendy has been absent since the Carabao Cup semi-final against Burton Albion last month due to a knee injury, while Kompany has not played since a 2-1 win against Liverpool in early January.
And Guardiola confirmed that neither player would be available when City face Chelsea at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking specifically of Mendy, Guardiola said, "He's hurt, it's not easy.
"Injuries like his, we need a process and we have to be careful."
But Guardiola was surprised to learn the whereabouts of the French, after he was questioned about Mendy's being in Hong Kong, according to social media posts.
"Wow, I did not know," he said.
"He said he was going to Paris, but Hong Kong is far away, I have to download an Instagram account, it will certainly not be normal when he is in Hong Kong."
