Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia will open today the third Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GhIPCON).

The largest conference on downstream petroleum products in Ghana is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), in partnership with the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) and the Association of Petroleum Marketing Companies (AOMC).

The GhIPCON is designed to actively highlight the business sector's perspective and guidance on government and regulatory policy issues, as well as best practices for sector development.

The conference will witness the convergence of about 250 regulators and industry stakeholders downstream of the entire subregion of West Africa and beyond.

Agenda

The theme of the GhIPCON 2019 is "Regional collaboration: a catalyst for transformation".

It aims to stimulate regional discussions that will set the tone for a West African policy framework on the prospects of the downstream oil industry, regulating downstream oil infrastructure projects, efficiency and effectiveness. funding.
