In the episode of Thursday night Dr. Pimple Popper, our brave hero, Dr. Sandra Lee, MD – meets a 50-year-old woman named Leta with a mysterious ball on her left leg that has been around for ten years. Every day, Lita uses medical tape and Spanx to hide it. She even hides it from her fiance, who sees it for the first time in the episode.
When Lee meets Leta for the first time, she feels the bulge protrude from her patient's thigh. "So it gets heavy – it weighs on you, does not it? It's as if your booty starts lower, it's supposed to start higher," says Lee.
She adds, "It looks like a lipoma, but it has that little dimple when I move it, which means it's a little connected."
"I was afraid it had gotten so much in there that he got wrapped up," Leta replies.
All that goes on under the skin of Leta, Lee knows that it will not be easy to manage. "I'm more worried because I see some dimples, so I know it's not going to be an easy pop," Lee told the camera. "There are probably strips of tissue that hold what's under the skin, I think it's a lipoma, but I'm not 100% sure, and I never really know it before I start surgery."
"There is a lot of worry, because when I feel it, I feel like it goes on and on, deep down there," Leta says. "Then I just hope that it has not developed where it can not remove it."
Finally, we come to the right things: Watch Lee slice into the crowd. Soon, Lee confirms that it is indeed a lipoma. As Lee removes lumpy growth pieces from Leta's flesh, Leta begins to sing – beautifully, let's add it !!
"I love music because it soothes and relaxes and everything calms down," Leta told the camera. (Maybe we should start singing for ourselves when we watch the thorny Lee cyst videos.)
Five weeks after the procedure, Leta announces that she has thrown away her entire medical tape – and that she may finally be excited by her upcoming wedding. Congratulations, Leta!
Dr. Pimple Popper aired Thursdays on TLC at 9 / 8c.
