Josh Deluca is officially a Carlton player
CARLTON confirmed widespread speculation on Monday night by making former Docker Josh Deluca the first pick in the mid-season NAB AFL rookie draft for 26 years.
The 179-cm midfielder has only played four games in three seasons on Fremantle's list of players between 2015 and 2017, but his outstanding form within the WAFL has forced him back into the national radar.

Deluca had 29 badists in the Subiaco grand final last year – the fourth WAFL prime minister of which he is a member – and has an average of 25.7 possessions in six races in 2019.
He also accepted the Simpson medal as the WAFL's best player against the SANFL a fortnight ago, after accumulating 29 touchdowns, seven tackles and one goal in a seven-point loss.
Deluca is still only 23, but that's what makes him a veteran in a blues onball division based on the youngster behind Patrick Cripps.
None of Zac Fisher, Paddy Dow, Sam Petrevski-Seton, Will Setterfield or Sam Walsh are over 21, but they are the mainstay of Cripps' midfield support.
