The truck was carrying construction materials from Winneba towards Agona Abodom
On Wednesday evening, a gravel dump truck struck a building, destroying parts and other properties in Agona Swedru, in the central region.
The dump truck bearing the GT 464 W registration number was carrying construction materials from Winneba to Agona Abodom.
Upon arriving at Agona Swedru, the driver, Ernest Ahadzie, attempting to turn on the road to Assissim, suffered a brake failure and ran into the building.
Sensing the danger, two drivers on board came out of the truck in motion to scream and alert pbaders-by and pedestrians along the road so that they would flee for their lives to avoid accidents.
The two teenage girls, Charity Yeboah and Janet Jackson, who were sleeping in the building at the time of the accident were transported to Swedru hospital for treatment.
Chief Inspector Sampson Boamah, the officer of the Ghana Police Station at the Departmental Department of Traffic and Transportation of the Swedru (MTTD) advised truck drivers to stop driving. use the Assissim road in the region of Swedru and instead use the main road pbading through Chapel Square. to prevent future accidents.
